This program has ended - please contact us            for current information.

Now in its seventh year, Solarize Mass, a partnership between the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), the Green Communities Division of the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) and cities and towns across the commonwealth, has led to more than 3,200 residents and business owners signing contracts for small-scale solar electricity systems, while speaking with thousands more about the economic and environmental benefits of solar electricity, energy efficiency and other clean energy technologies.

Due to an increased interest in our solar program benefits, the deadline for home and business owners to lock in program benefits has been extended into March 2018. Don't wait - sign a contract with your community's designated solar installer now!

Don't forget to visit www.SolarizeLSW.org to contact your designated Community Solar Coach, read blog posts about the Solarize LSW program, and learn about ways that you can help spread the word to your friends and neighbors in Lincoln, Sudbury, and Wayland.

How it works
The Solarize Mass Plus program looks to increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity systems & Solar Hot Water systems through a grassroots educational campaign, driven mainly by local volunteers, and low base pricing, typically resulting in a 25%-30% savings. SolarFlair Energy is working in conjunction with the Lincoln Green Energy Committee, The Wayland Energy & Climate Committee and the Sudbury Energy & Sustainability Committee, as well as the MassCEC to implement the Solarize Mass Plus Lincoln-Wayland-Sudbury program. This new "Plus" program also offers solar hot water technology, and we're pleased to be partnering with New England Solar Hot Water, Inc. to present this exciting, affordable renewable energy option to customers. For more information about New England Solar Hot Water and their offer, please visit www.NESHW.com/solarize

After thorough review by the State, and interviews with multiple installers both local and nationwide, each participating community selects a designated solar installation company. Lincoln-Wayland-Sudbury has selected SolarFlair, because of our experience in the Solarize programs since 2012, proximity to the communities and the low base pricing that we offer. New England Solar Hot Water was selected similarly because of price and experience as the leading solar hot water installer in Massachusetts.

Home and business owners who want to participate can either purchase the solar electricity systems directly or enter into a lease or power purchase agreement (PPA) with the installer. Under a lease or PPA, a third party financier will own, operate and maintain the system, while the home or business owner agrees to purchase the power generated by the system at an agreed-upon rate.

The 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and now 2017 Solarize Mass programs have resulted in more than 17,000 individuals expressing interest in pursuing solar electricity. Over 3,200 residents and business owners in the 63 communities signed contracts to install over 21.4 megawatts of solar electricity. In addition, the number of small-scale solar electricity projects in almost every community doubled as a result of the program.
