Residential Solar Electric

Investing in solar energy presents a unique opportunity for homeowners to make a positive impact on both the environment and their wallets.

SolarFlair Energy, Inc. will evaluate your home initially utilizing satellite imagery to ensure basic solar qualifying attributes such as south-facing orientation, minimal shading and sufficient surface area are met. SolarFlair conducts FREE, no obligation site assessments. SolarFlair’s associates will take the time to thoroughly explain all potential options in order to design the most efficient solar electric package for your home.

Solar made Simple: Key Components of the system

Solar Panels: The panels convert energy from the sun into Direct Current (DC) electricity.

Inverters: The inverter converts the DC electricity produced by the solar panels into Alternating Current (AC) electricity utilized in your home. The two main types of inverter technologies are:

  • Central inverter(s) mounted on a wall inside the home fed by panels wired together in series on the roof.
  • Micro-inverters mounted underneath each individual panel allowing for optimal production in sites with the potential for shading because the panels function independently of one another.

Solar Production Meter: Think of this as the “odometer” of your solar system- this component keeps track of overall system production and will be mounted in the home.

Conduit and Wiring: This will conduct the AC electricity from the inverter to your existing electric panel and a newly installed net meter from the utility. The system will be connected to the existing electric grid through the utility service provider in your community.

Solar Monitoring System: SolarFlair can set up a web-based monitoring system for your solar installation which will allow you to keep track of system functionality and day-to-day production remotely.
