When a home is sold, the ownership of the solar array must be transferred to the New Owner as well.  Some assume that when Closing documents are signed, the solar is automatically transferred over as well, but this is not entirely true;  The utility company (and other solar-related entities) do not know that the home was sold, so they need to be informed in order for the New Owner to receive the solar benefits.
