Our Team

SolarFlair's management team is committed to solar energy and has the experience to back it up. We have decades of experience in solar photovoltaics and electrical systems, working in both commercial and residential, as well as a broad range of relevant degrees and certifications.

Matt Arner - President

Matt is the founder and President of SolarFlair Energy Inc. He has worked in the solar industry since 1999 and was one of the first residents of Massachusetts to power his entire home with solar power. He is a NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professionaand is an active member of the Solar Energy Business Association of New England (SEBANE). His passion and leadership in the renewable energy industry helped inspire SolarFlair's rapid growth. Before starting SolarFlair, he worked with Heliotronics, a provider of educational solar displays for schools, universities and homeowners.  While at Heliotronics, Matt helped develop over 150 solar installations and educational displays including systems at MIT, Harvard, and 15 schools in Missouri. In 2002, Matt was chosen as the only United States representative by India’s Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources to attend the “International Training Program on Solar Energy” at the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay. He was also invited by the United Nations Development Program to attend the “Nepal Conference on Clean Energy Investment” as a representative of the solar PV industry.

Matt received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. After working two years for Accenture Consulting as a management consultant to large electric utilities and industrial clients, he attended the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and completed his Masters Degree in International Development with a focus on the solar energy industry.  While in graduate school, he worked as an independent utility and solar energy consultant, developing several solar photovoltaic projects in the Boston area and overseas in developing countries.


Jeff Constantine – Vice President of Operations

Jeff has more than 25 years experience in the electrical industry and is a Massachusetts licensed Master Electrician. He also holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License (CSL). As the Vice President of Operations, his responsibilities include managing our operations department, sourcing and managing all material resources, and overseeing safety and quality for all installations. Jeff is currently working towards his NABCEP certification.

Prior to joining the company, Jeff managed his own electrical contracting business focusing on energy systems for commercial and residential properties. Jeff excels at meeting the needs of residential homeowners to ensure satisfaction throughout the entire installation process. He has worked at every level of electrical contracting, beginning his career as an electrical apprentice and working his way up to serve as a top foreman.


Joel Lindsay - Vice President of Business Development 

Joel has over 30 years of experience as a renewable energy developer and environmental engineer. Over the past 10 years Joel has been responsible for development of over 15 MW of solar projects in Massachusetts and the Northeast. He has successfully worked to develop solar projects at all scales, from residential scale to large commercial and utility scale projects. He has worked with numerous cities and towns across central/western Massachusetts to develop rooftop, canopy, ground mount and
landfill solar projects that are providing significant monetary and environmental benefits. His solar projects have included extensive outreach efforts with municipalities, including public information meetings, board meetings, town meetings, and educational field trips for local students. Before joining SolarFlair, Joel was at Ameresco, Inc., a MA based commercial solar provider. Prior to that Joel worked for 20 years as an environmental engineer and program manager, where he led large scale environmental assessment and remediation projects, including the cleanup of the Housatonic River in Pittsfield, MA. Joel received an A.B in Geology from Princeton University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts.


Pamela Faustine - Controller

Pamela brings a long history of financial experience to SolarFlair and is an integral part of making sure SolarFlair runs smoothly by managing all accounting and human resource functions.  Pamela is a Certified Internal Auditor with a B.S. in Accounting from Babson College and a M.B.A. from Bryant College.  Pamela has held positions of increasing responsibility for companies in the defense contracting, manufacturing and service industries.  She also ran her own consulting business for several years.
